Before You Change the World Change Your Heart.
By: Msgr. Michael Heras March 3, 2003 - National Day of Prayer

Only God knows what is going to happen in next few days in the next few weeks in the next few months in our planet. But one thing is sure, prayer changes history. And I for one, am not motivated to walk outside with signs that tear down insult and even accuse in a country where we have a freedom to say publicly. No my brothers and sisters, I prefer to change history on my knees. And so what I ask you to do is to pray hard. And if you’re afraid of war, blood shed and a borage of body bags coming back. Than change the evil in our hearts first, remove the terrorism of speech and behavior. Change first, as Gandhi said We must become the change that we want to see.

"The Difference is FREEDOM!"
By: Msgr. Michael Heras - Thursday, September 11, 2003

2nd Anniversary of the Attack on America - It’s interesting what God uses to wake us up. It’s interesting what God uses to make us realize what we have. It’s astounding how God writes straight with croquet lines. Two years ago our country changed our world changed and perhaps, for the most of us, our lives have changed. I hope and pray that they have changed for the better.

"The Assumption of Mary"
By: Msgr. Michael Heras - Friday, August 15, 2003

Mary held Jesus for nine months in her womb. No one human being was closer to him before he was born. Jesus remained at home for thirty years. No one human being was closer to Jesus after his birth than the Virgin Mary. Today we remember, that the body that held Jesus, the body that nursed Jesus, the voice the personality, all that it takes to be a parent was in the Virgin Mary: would not know the corruption of death. And so she was assumed into Heaven.

"The Assumption of Mary"
By: Father James Fagfalia - Friday, August 15, 2003

The Immaculate Conception is dealing with Mary. She was preserved from all stain of original sin. One of the effects of original sin is bodily death. If Mary is conceived without sin, she is the Immaculate Conception therefore she did not die, and she was assumed into Heaven. Assumption means she was taken up into Heaven by the power of God.

"The Feast of St. Peter and St. Paul"
By: Father James Fagfalia Sunday, June 29, 2003

The feast of St. Peter and St. Paul directs our gaze to Rome, the center of Catholism. When we listen to the Pope we listen to God himself. It take courage to be faithful! Sometimes we have to stand-alone. Two men, who gave their lives to the Lord two men who shed their blood to the Church. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race I have kept the faith.
