The Blessed Virgin Mary,
under the title of Our Lady of Guadalupe,
Patroness of the Americas,
was declared Patroness
of the Diocese of
Corpus Christi
by Bishop Rene H. Gracida,
now Bishop Emeritus of Corpus Christi.

Mission - To evangelize within our parish and the civic community, and to promote
devotion to our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Diocese of Corpus Christi, and of
the Americas. |

Goals of the Society
A. Evangelization - to spread the word of God to others
B. To instill in its members a missionary spririt to promote spiritual growth among
ourselves and others.
C. To venerate the Blessed Virgin through her title of
Our Lady of Guadalupe
D. To assist in preparing for the annual celebration of the feast day of
Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 12, at the parish and diocesan levels.
E. To offer prayers for the intentions of the Holy Father our Pope, our
pastor, priests, and deacons.

Practices of the Society
A. To visit the sick, the nursing homes, the lonely, and those fallen
away
from the Church.
B. To dedicate ourselves to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in union with the
Immaculate
Heart of Mary by:
1. Striving for sanctity
2. Making reparations for sins by offering sacrifice,
penance, prayer, etc.
3. Frequenting the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
4. Receiving Holy Communion as often as possible
5. Reciting the Rosary daily.

Activities of the Society
A. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month, at 7:00 PM in room C
at the Parish Hall. We'd love to have you join us.
B. We attend Rosary and Mass on the first Saturday of the month. Rosary begins
at 7:30
A.M. and is followed by Mass at 8:00 A.M.
C. We attend Mass as a group on the first Sunday of the month - the Spanish Mass
at 12:45 P.M.
D. We assist with the needs of the parish, whenever possible. |

Annual Event - Celebration of the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe (December 12) at the
parish & diocesan level; new society members are inducted that day, at the special Mass.
