In 1999, a gracious donation allowed for a renovation of the exterior of OLPH Church. The old bushes were pulled, the ground was cleaned up and thousands of tiles were layed to make up the new front facade. Joel Garcia, formerly of Corpus Christi, and now a missionary stationed in Mexico was the gifted artist who hand placed each tile in the Mosaics.
God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit crown the front of the church which now glows beautifully in the afternoon sunlight. Many can be seen knelt down praying in front of the crucifix or touching the bloody hands of Jesus. Its a very powerful and constant reminder of how Jesus Died for our sins. He loved us so much. Praise God!
Joel Garcia completed this Mosaic of Our Lady of Perpetual Help back in 1994. She was constructed on the south facing wall overlooking Williams drive. Beautiful flowers are now blossoming around her. One flowering bush was growing miraculously between a narrow crack along the base of the brick wall of the church. Our Lady is with us!
